Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-10

These terms cover using Court Market to find and book basketball courts. Court Market is operated by HS Tech. Gyms that list courts agree to the separate Gym Partner Terms.

Placeholder: requires review by a qualified attorney before launch.

What Court Market does

Court Market lets you find open court time at gyms that have been verified by us, see the price, and book and pay online. The gym runs the facility and provides the court; Court Market provides the booking and payment service between you and the gym.

For counsel to draft

  • Who the customer contracts with for court use (the gym, Court Market, or both)
  • Court Market's role as a marketplace / agent for payment collection
  • Eligibility beyond the 18-or-older sign-up rule (booking on behalf of others or minors)

Your account

You need an account to book. You confirm your email address, and a phone number is required before your first booking so the gym can reach you about it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for bookings made from your account.

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We ask you to confirm this when you sign up, because booking takes a card payment. Players under 18 may play when a parent, guardian or coach books for them from their own account; at checkout you confirm that, and that the player will follow the gym’s supervision rule and any minimum age the gym sets.

You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. Deleting removes your name, phone and email; booking and payment records are kept without your personal details. See the Privacy Policy.

Booking and payment

The price shown on a time is the total you pay: no booking fee or other charge is added at checkout. When you choose a time, the court is held for you for 10 minutes while you pay. Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds, and you’ll get a confirmation with a booking code.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Court Market never receives or stores your full card number.

Some gyms have facility rules (for example, shoes or check-in). Where a gym requires it, you acknowledge its rules before paying, and you agree to follow them while you’re there.

For counsel to draft

  • Payment authorization and capture terms
  • Pricing errors and what happens if a listed price is wrong
  • Taxes on bookings

Cancellations and refunds

Each gym chooses one of three cancellation policies, shown on its page and at checkout before you pay. The exact refund for your booking is shown before you confirm a cancellation. The full rules, including what happens when a gym cancels, are in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Problems, no-shows and disputes

If something goes wrong at the gym — the court wasn’t available or the facility was closed — report it from your booking, from the start of the booking until 48 hours after it ends. If a gym marks your booking as a no-show and you were there, you can dispute it within 48 hours of being marked. Court Market reviews each report and emails you the outcome.

  • Card chargebacks and their relationship to this process

Reviews

You can review a booking you played, within 30 days of it ending. Reviews are public and shown with your first name. You can edit a review for 72 hours after posting. Gyms can respond publicly. Court Market may hide reviews that break its content rules.

For counsel to draft

  • Content rules for reviews and the license granted to Court Market over review text
